  3. Matt, my favorite Joseph Smith quote on courage:

"Never get discouraged, whatever difficulties might surround you. If you were sunk in the lowest pit of Nova Scotia, and all the Rocky Mountains piled on top of you, you ought not to be discouraged, but hang on, exercise faith and keep up good courage and you should come out on top of the heap." (George A. Smith's journal, quoted by Preston Nibley in Church News, 12 Mar 1950, p. 16)

  4. Here I am, all alone on the planet. (ACT!! ACT!!!) I was the last one left after the holocaust, eh.

  5. For those of you who are keeping tabs on the website, Matt hasn't kept current the last few days because he has been in Chemo at least 10 hours a day for the last 5 days and has become very very weak. I am sure we will be hearing from him soon. He is in the midst of friends and family who are all working literally around the clock to ensure that he is cared for. Keep him and his caregivers in your prayers!

  6. Here is the rest of that David B. song...
    For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
    Far above the world
    Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do

    Though I'm past
    one hundred thousand miles
    I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much
    she knows

  9. Matt-
I've been thinking about you so much these last two days. This morning I heard you went to be with our Father in Heaven. You are greatly missed.
    Liz & Matt's family-
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  10. These are profound thoughts for his last blog.
I know that he's not in a tin can, but in the arms of a loving Brother.
Say hi to my mom, Matt, and tell her I still miss her.
