I have a multiple part surgery scheduled for next Wednesday. First, I am having my left testicle removed to be tested. Then I have a hernia being repaired in that same spot! Huzzah! Finally, I am having a port installed on my chest so they can administer chemotherapy easily. It's like the heart plug on Dune. I am so excited to have Baron Harkonnen pull my plug out and watch as I slowly die!<div><br /></div><div>Anyway! He seemed very nice and maybe a bit by the book. It's always fun to stand naked in front of someone. I just love it when they are complete strangers. Maybe that will be our icebreaker and things will go smoothly from now on! <div>It was so incredibly hot to me in his office that I had to be wheeled out in a wheelchair. Which totally sucked. I was sweating like crazy so I came home and crashed. Here I sit four hours later dripping into the floor. I will endeavor to communicate the large scale announcements here on this blog. <br /><br />With that in mind, today's announcement hopefully clarifies what type of cancer I have. You might have noticed the clue in my pithy title. It seems that cancer has attacked my left testicle with great alacrity. I will be having surgery most likely next Wednesday, due to the complexities of acquiring a general surgeon to fix a nearby hernia at the same time. <br /><br />I will also be meeting with my oncologist tomorrow. Hopefully he will be able to quickly prescribe a course of treatment and I can start fighting this thing.<br /><br />We were kind of hoping for testicular cancer diagnosis because of its relative ease to treat. Most sites give some pretty high numbers for successful remission. <br /><br />Anyway, this will be the first of many.
